Summary:

New Hampshire Educators Online (NHEON) aimed to increase teacher quality by providing professional development courses. Their mission is to ensure teachers efficiency by increasing their content knowledge and teaching skills through introduction of new technology applicable in their classroom setting. They provide mentoring toolkit, Teacheronline and Open NH programs which are online courses and research based training for pre K12 teachers and NH educators professional development courses. Getting qualified teachers for New Hampshire is a problem common to all states. A competitive program designed to provide financial assistance was created by NNEF. The initiative is to entice teachers to commit teaching in New Hampshire’s public or private schools. This just made it feasible for teachers to obtain needed funding to meet certification requirements. In New Hampshire everything a student and a teacher needs is at the tip of their fingertips. The New Hampshire Folklife website provides a resource of the state’s traditional arts and folklife. This is an educational resource for students to explore their culture and living heritage. New Hampshire also allows homeschooling as long as parents meet the requirements of the program. Knowing that state-authorized schools are typically not always the choice of students, chartered schools were crated as parents and students school of choice. Charter schools are independent, nonreligious cost efficient public schools. They are highly accountable and are results oriented. What the state wants to measure they always deliver. If poorly managed, the charter to operate can always be revoked by the state anytime.
