The Office of Adult and Continuing Education is the adult education provider in New York. Day, evening, and Saturday class schedules were provided to fit the students lifestyle. Basic education and vocational classes are offered free and are taught by New York State certified teachers. To keep people aware of how the state’s school communities were run and operated by the school boards to teach their children, New York State Testing and Accountability Reporting Tool known as NYSTART established its own website to help parents conveniently access state school and district report cards. Information regarding the performance of each school is critical to construct open conversations on ways to improve the system that may lead to positive reform. Designing teaching strategies is more difficult than writing lessons because it is a kind of behavior analysis approach but is manageable by use of videos, graphic presentations and other multimedia tools that will help students build content knowledge and critical thinking skills.
